About Neonsparkle.net

A computer keyboard Neonsparkle.net (under different names) was started in September 2004 by myself, Amelie, after having previously designed and managed several other sites and doing some freelance design. The name was changed in April of 2005, then rebranded once again in September of 2006.

I first got interested in webdesign in April 2000, after a friend of mine told me about a site she made on Yahoo Geocities. At the time I had no idea how one could own a website; I had mastered the basic concepts of the internet, such as browsing and email, so I felt that having a website would be the next step and a challenging experience at that - so I set one up. Since then, I have developed full knowledge of HTML, XHTML 1.0 and 1.1, CSS 1 and 2, intermediate PHP and MySQL skills, along with some JavaScript.

I am in the final stages of a degree in Advanced Web Production; the course involves designing semantically coded sites with full awareness of browser compatibility, accessibility issues, and code validation. I am being taught to use industry-leading programs such as Flash and Dreamweaver at a professional level.

Neonsparkle.net was revamped in September 2006 to include webhosting services as well as design. It was my intention to provide for smaller sites on the internet without the large price tags; I have seen many hosting companies offering lots of space and bandwidth for low prices, when these supplies are simply not needed. If you want to host a small site, whatever its purpose, Neonsparkle.net is the right choice for you.
